Don’t rip your hair out. As we get older it may not come back! 😉
What up?? Gabby? Or did you just find out you had “another one”?
Oops. I thought I had deleted this.
I was in the middle of a post when gabby called from her friend’s house where she spent the weekend. She asked if I could be there to pick her up the moment she hung the phone up (4:00 was the scheduled pick-up time). She said that she, her other friend and her mother were going to a mall to get dresses for some stupid school dance which I knew nothing about. I asked when they were heading to the mall and she says “within the hour”.
After I picked her up and dropped her off at her other friend’s house, I asked how much money she’s going to need for this dress that she’ll never wear again after this stupid dance. I asked to speak with the Mom. Well, the Mom was in the shower. The girls estimated that it wouldn’t be any more than $10.00. Now, I’ve got my hands over my face and feeling like sitting down on the front porch. I gave her $40.00 and told her to bring me the change back if there was any. I don’t know what this costs.
Ugh. Damn. Man, it’s hard being a single guy raising girls. I say that in the plural because there are two of them. The oldest is now 20 and out on her own. Honestly, I typed that post out in frustration and then realized how stupid it was and attempted to delete it. Since that didn’t happen and the two Lauries commented, I’m leaving it up.
I say that a couple of times a week. 🙂
